This is the time of year when parents have many children in preschool to decide if their children attend school in the fall. I wanted training to take this opportunity to share the nursery until my experience with the Montessori method.
My son is completing his second year in a Montessori preschool program and attended from the age of 3 1 / 2
I chose Montessori for several reasons. First, my son is a bright, curious child who is already a good basis for recognitionIts alphabet, numbers, shapes and colors before starting preschool. I was worried he could be bored in a more traditional preschool. 'S Montessori program is highly individual, was always challenged and interested. Also, my son is a very active child and the Montessori program gives many opportunities for free play indoors and outdoors, and greater freedom of movement, stand or even lie on the floor, while working on his education inHouse
In my opinion one of the great benefits of Montessori is that it pushes the baby educational experience. My son's interests and capabilities are those that can determine its unique educational program, and so his classes overlap, but not identical to those of his companions. This makes it an eager and motivated students.
The Montessori educational program also offered many advantages. My experience includes child art, mathematics and science, language and lifeSkills. He regularly gives our friends and family with his knowledge of science, sign language and other areas not traditionally included in preschool programs.
I also like the fact that his teaching a wider range of age groups, so that friends, who are both young and old. He also really enjoys regular contact with students from elementary age to serve both as role models and friends.
Finally, as a parent, I can not stress enough that the benefitsMontessori offers a program for example in relation to life skills. All students should be responsible for their personal hygiene, as well as maintenance and cleaning of classrooms and the food. While the support of adults and older children are offered, even small children can learn to clean. And 'certainly an influence on the willingness and ability of my son home.
I recently compared the experience of pre-school with a friend whose sonCompleting her second year as the majority of people as a top community in our preschool program. We have compared our children skills for the school district our checklist of 60 skills (including cognitive demands, listening and sequencing skills, language skills, fine motor, gross motor, social skills / emotional) that helps the children transition to kindergarten. My son has all the 60 skills, while their daughter was missing skills in each area.
IWe recommend that all parents, at least consider Montessori for their child, as child-centered learning approach that can provide an excellent basis for a child, the future growth and learning.
