A series of popular children's books at the end of 1970 was called Sweet Pickles. There were three authors of the series, and they were Richard Hefter, Jacquelyn Reinach, and Ruth Lerner Perle. The series, which takes its name from the predicaments (or cucumber) that the main characters, seems to be inside there were few other main characters. Twenty-six in total, and each of them was an animal. One for each letter of the alphabet. You alwaysseem to have themselves and others in trouble in the beginning and have fun out of it. But not without some small teaching life lessons along the road.
Unfortunately, the books very hard to find a day when they went out of print around 1995. If you were a fan of Captain Kangaroo, you're lucky enough to hear some of the stories, as several have appeared during the show. I collected some photos and film in the series. You can see the linkfollowing the end of this story.
Somehow I missed these books in my childhood, and that is a sort of pity. My children are in an age where she is a bit 'too old for these books, but yours can not. I know if you remember the books of his childhood, can you share a very rewarding experience and loyalty to them with their children of appropriate age groups. It 'was a book sesame called "The Monster At The End Of This Book", which I remember as a child and havewhen my children were old enough. I'm sure if you ask them about the book, which will surely remember him. It 's a great way to build memories.
